Open House and High Tech Happy Hour

Madison, Wisconsin - Thursday, April 25, 2019


Cascade Asset Management is hosting an Open House with educational workshops, facility tours, demonstrations, and information booths. Learn more about how electronics are processed for responsible recycling and how Cascade securely destroys data from collected electronic equipment.

We'll be ending the afternoon with refreshments and appetizers starting after the last workshop (at 3:30 p.m.) Join us for Karben4 craft beer in a commemorative Cascade 20th anniversary glass. Make a name plate for yourself using recycled computer parts. Network with your peers and friends.

Then, stick around from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. when Cascade hosts Madison's High Tech Happy Hour - a monthly networking event for IT professionals.

    Halie TenorHear from Janice Tiedt of TDS about how they repurpose refurbished computers to effectively serve business needs and save money. Halie Tenor of American Family Insurance will describe the development of their sustainability program and how they leverage their IT asset disposition program to demonstrate positive environmental and cost impacts.

    Alyssa KenneySarah Murray, who coordinates the E-Cycle Wisconsin program, will offer details on e-waste recycling activities and regulations in the state. Alyssa Kenney of DANEnet will explain how its partnership with corporations, ISPs, municipalities and community centers allows them to funnel quality refurbished computer equipment and training to community members in need.
