Support Digital Equity by Recycling Your Used Tech
This FREE residential e-cycling event to support digital equity is brought to you by DANEnet and Cascade. Wisconsin Medical Project is partnering with the event to accept patient care equipment.
When: Tuesday, April 22 – 8 am to 1 pm
Where: Alliant Energy Center, Madison, WI – enter from Rimrock Road
Accepted Electronics: Computers, laptops, monitors, TVs, computer equipment, smartwatches, cellphones and tablets. For more details on accepted equipment, visit E-Cycle Wisconsin.
Do Not Bring: Appliances, copiers, fax machines, medical tech devices, or technology from businesses. (Business equipment is managed via our IT asset disposition services.)
What Happens to Donated Tech:
- Reusable Devices: All data on the device is electronically wiped. Devices that meet DANEnet’s Laptop Program guidelines are distributed to low-income households without computers. Other devices are sold to raise funds for the Digital Equity Project.
- Non-Reusable Devices: Components are sorted and separated to extract raw materials for recycling and safe disposal.
Accepted Medical Equipment: Wisconsin Medical Project is collecting wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, rollators, and commodes.
