Cascade celebrates its 25th anniversary as a leader in secure IT asset retirement services with an Open House on April 25, 2024.
MADISON, WI – April 18, 2024 – Cascade Asset Management (Cascade), a nationally recognized leader in secure and environmentally responsible retirement services for information technology equipment, proudly announces its 25th-anniversary milestone. Cascade has grown significantly since co-founders Neil and Jessica Peters-Michaud began their entrepreneurial journey on April 20, 1999. Using a modest red pick-up truck purchased for just $1,000, the couple collected retired electronics from Madison-area businesses and initially transported them to the basement of their home for disassembly and recycling. A quarter century later, the ITAD firm operates facilities in three states, employs 111 people, and has processed over 113 million pounds of electronics for reuse and recycling. While much has changed, the company’s purpose remains the same: Cascade electronics to their next best use in an ethical, secure, and transparent manner.
